According to Dawn News report, in a statement on Thursday, the health department of Sindh province said that the 69-year-old patient had returned to Pakistan on February 25 after traveling to Iran.
Media Coordinator of Health Minister of Sindh Province, Miran Yusuf said that this person was being monitored by the Health Department. He was tested on Thursday when symptoms showed. Now three cases of coronavirus have been reported in Sindh.
He said that the patient has been admitted to the isolation ward of the government hospital and his family is kept separate from others at home. Health officials are periodically monitoring the health of family members.
Three other cases have been confirmed in Gilgit-Baltistan. Meanwhile, the Dawn News report said that more than 1,400 trucks loaded with goods are currently stranded across the border with Iran. Pakistan has temporarily closed its border with Iran due to concerns of the Coronavirus.
Pakistan had closed its border with Iran since 23 February because of the increasing number of Coronavirus cases. Balochistan, which shares a 959-km border with Iran, has already declared an emergency in the province to stop the virus.
